By using CameraDoods (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the Service. We've written them in plain language where possible.

What CameraDoods is

CameraDoods is an informational comparison and referral tool for people selling used camera gear. We show estimated marketplace values and estimated retailer payout ranges to help you decide between selling the gear yourself or accepting an instant offer from a buying retailer. We do not buy, sell, ship, insure, appraise, or otherwise handle any equipment ourselves. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer.

Estimates are not offers

This is the most important thing to understand. Every number shown on CameraDoods is an estimate:

• Market values are estimates based on publicly available pricing data.
• The "list it yourself" net is an estimate that assumes a typical marketplace fee and shipping cost — your actual result will vary.
• Retailer payout ranges are estimates based on typical percentages retailers pay for used gear in a given condition.

The final offer for your gear is determined solely by the purchasing retailer, after they physically inspect the item. It may be higher or lower than anything shown here. Nothing on this site is a binding offer, quote, or guarantee.

Pricing accuracy

We work to keep our pricing data reasonable but make no guarantees of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. You use CameraDoods estimates at your own risk, and we're not liable for decisions you make based on them.

No affiliation with named retailers

CameraDoods references retailers and marketplaces including MPB, KEH, B&H, Adorama, and eBay for descriptive and comparative purposes. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies. All trademarks and brand names are the property of their respective owners.

Your responsibilities

When you submit gear through the quote form, you represent that:

• You own the equipment you're describing, or you're authorized to sell it.
• The information you provide about condition, model, and shutter count is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
• You understand your contact information will be shared with a buying retailer (see the Privacy Policy).

Any dispute over the actual condition, ownership, or description of the gear is between you and the retailer — not CameraDoods.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to submit false or fraudulent information, to scrape or copy the site in bulk, to interfere with normal operation, or for any unlawful purpose.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates will match any particular retailer's actual offer.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CameraDoods and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages — including lost profits or lost value on a sale — arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
